About the Role
Under the direction of a program administrator, assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive child development program for preschool-aged children; provide support to students and parents.

- Provide support to students and parents.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school required.
- Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program preferred.
- One year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
- Enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred.
- Three to six units in infant/toddler care development required based on the permit held.
- Must comply with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements for influenza, pertussis, and measles.
- Must provide own transportation.
Qualifications
- California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit (required at time of application).
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification – in-person training required (required at time of application).

Pay
Pay range: $21.95 - $26.88 per hour. Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($24.44/hr). Range based on CFS CSEA Classified Salary Schedule.
Schedule
261 days per year, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM). Full-time position.
Benefits
A benefit entitlement for health, dental, and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.
