Responsibilities

Under supervision and the direction of the Master Teacher, performs the necessary duties to assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for preschool aged children.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school required.
• One year experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
• Enrollment in an Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred.
• Three to six units infant/toddler care development desired.
• Required documents at time of application:
  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification.
  • California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
  • Infant/toddler care and development desirable.
• Recommended documents at time of application: Letter of Interest, Resume, Transcripts.
• Additional information: Valid driver's license; must provide own transportation (may use own vehicle or other method selected by employee).
• Documents required if offered employment: Department of Justice/FBI/CACI fingerprint clearance, Tuberculosis clearance, Physical/lift test/drug screen clearance, Official transcripts.

Benefits

A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day. The amount of the entitlement is based on the number of hours worked per day.

Pay

Salary range: $21.95 – $26.88 per hour. Initial salary placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 3 ($24.44 per hour) according to the 7 CFS CSEA Classified Salary Schedule.
