Full Time Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Needed, Topeka, Kansas

About the role

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus-Wound Care Clinic in Topeka, Kansas, is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to lead the Wound Care Clinic program in collaboration with Healogics and The University of Kansas Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen (HBO) Therapy training are available
• A full clinical team will be in place from the start date
• Full Team support includes Case Manager, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurses, Office Manager, and Front/Back End Support
• Advanced wound-care treatments to promote healing, including: Cellulitis therapy, compression therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, infection management and prevention, wound cleaning, and wound dressing
• Standard work hours are daytime hours averaging around 40 hours per week
• No night shifts, on-call responsibilities, vacation hours, or weekend hours
• Opportunity for growth into leadership positions

Qualifications

• NP or PA degree
• Must be Board-Certified
• Clear and Active State Medical License and a DEA License
• Possess a strong procedural background
• Recent experience with procedures such as suture, incision and drainage (I&D), or other types of procedures is preferred
