Full Time Warehouse Material Handler

Pay Range: $17.59 - $18.59 hourly, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Saturday with a rotating day off; 8:30 AM start time

About the role

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for fulfilling customer orders by retrieving and stacking specific products and quantities as specified on pick tickets or computer screens. This role involves building stable pallets of product while meeting or exceeding warehouse and company expectations for safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and place quantities of cases of product onto a pre-determined pallet as instructed by the assigned pick ticket, ensuring safe and stable pallet construction while meeting safety, accuracy, and efficiency standards
• Travel to and transport pallets of stacked product to different warehouse areas using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) – Pallet Jack – in a safe and efficient manner
• Assist in warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping as assigned or needed
• Perform daily PIT checklist and report any issues to warehouse management
• Correct any mistakes in product or quantity as identified by the checker
• Perform other duties as assigned to support efficient warehouse operations in a dynamic environment
• Perform miscellaneous activities to maintain smooth warehouse operations

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment
• Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes
• Ability to adapt to different work areas throughout the workday and meet minimum expectations in each
• Ability to read and interpret instructions from a computer screen
• Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages
• Ability to work in a noisy and non-climate-controlled environment (hot in summer, cold in winter)
• Intentional self-starter who takes initiative and proactively seeks value-add opportunities
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule and hour changes based on business demands

Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience
• PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Certification: Pallet Jack
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
