About the role
As a Teller with us, you’ll be the friendly face that our customers look forward to seeing. You’ll handle financial transactions with precision, provide top-notch service, and assist customers in achieving their financial goals. Your day will include processing deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, and credit card payments, as well as promoting our range of innovative banking products and services.
Responsibilities
- Greet all bank customers as they enter the branch in a courteous and professional manner.
- Operate a teller window to process a variety of transactions within established guidelines, including individual and commercial deposits, savings and checking transactions, cash advances, loan payments, and credit card payments.
- Enter customers' transactions into the computer to record transactions and issue computer-generated receipts.
- Assist customers with questions regarding their accounts; place holds on accounts as appropriate.
- Order daily supply of cash and count incoming cash; balance currency, coins, and checks in the cash drawer and compare totaled amounts with data displayed on the computer screen.
- Participate in maintaining good customer relations by giving courteous, efficient service and developing new business by acquainting non-customers with bank services and presenting current customers with additional services.
- Identify and respond to cross-sale opportunities by referring customers to the appropriate bank personnel.
- Record customer interactions in the bank's CRM platform.
Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Six months to one year of related experience and/or training in cash handling or customer service.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly (both written and verbally).
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Good judgment in making routine and complex decisions.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to sell products and services.
- Ability to accurately handle large sums of cash.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to achieve individual and team goals.
- Flexibility and adaptability in an ever-changing environment.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, with the ability to quickly learn other bank-related programs.

Pay
$16.00 per hour.
