Full-Time Teller

About the role

The Teller handles all types of transactions to serve credit union members in their financial matters, including processing deposits, withdrawals, inquiries, and cashing checks in a fast, friendly, and accurate manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain individual cash box
• Perform computer transactions for members according to procedures in the Teller manual
• Provide members with information on interest rates, savings accounts, certificates, and other credit union services
• Recognize and greet each member courteously
• Promote and compare credit union services with other financial institutions
• Handle complex member accounts accurately
• Open new accounts and process payroll deductions
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations, including BSA
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous cash-handling or teller experience preferred
• Ability to type and efficiently operate a PC and calculator
• Strong capacity to learn and apply knowledge of credit union services, including cash policy, loan policy, security program, and certificate program
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants strongly encouraged to apply

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
