Full Time Teller

Location: Lima, OH | Status: Full Time | FLSA Job Class: Non-Exempt | Department: Deposit Operations | Reports To: Branch Manager

In this role, you will develop customer relationships by providing existing and potential customers with a full range of banking products and efficient, accurate services.

Responsibilities

• Provides service to bank customers, including deposits, withdrawals, postings, and information updates.
• Receives deposits and cashes checks for customers, verifying customer balances on any checks larger than the amount specified in check cashing procedures to ensure safety for the customer and the bank.
• Maintains currency and coin supply as prescribed by bank policy and is familiar with all security equipment and safety procedures.
• Ensures all transactions recorded at the teller station are balanced while on duty.
• Assists customers with questions to enhance their relationship with the bank, including verifying balances, receiving changes of customer information, and closing out accounts as requested.
• Introduces new services to customers as appropriate, adhering to the bank's cross-selling policies and procedures for tellers.
• Verifies night depository bags and envelopes and maintains accurate transaction logs on these items, as assigned.
• Assists customers with service requests, addressing complaints, and researching account problems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six to twelve months of experience being responsible for cash and balancing.
• Prefer at least 2 years' experience working with the public.
• Experience working with computers and familiarity with basic types of software such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of professionalism.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the bank's products and services, along with applicable regulations and operating systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
