Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive educational program for children aged 0 to 3 years.
• Create engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments that foster physical, social, emotional, and educational growth.
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum aligned with Head Start standards.
• Actively supervise and engage with infants and toddlers, bringing energy and enthusiasm to every activity.
• Partner with diverse staff, children, and families while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and Community Care Licensing requirements.
• Contribute to a nurturing atmosphere that values dignity, respect, and integrity.
• Maintain punctuality and reliability to support a professional and effective learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children is a prerequisite.
• Child Development Associate Teacher permit must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Completed 12 Early Childhood Education (ECE) units, including core courses, with at least 6 units focused on infant and toddler development.
• California Health and Safety Certificate is required.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid, to be obtained within six months of employment.
• Proof of a current negative TB test and immunizations mandated by Community Care Licensing (measles, pertussis/Dtap, and a current influenza shot).
• Valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage.

Pay

Competitive pay range of $16.90 to $18.50 per hour.
