Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented individual to join our team at Hotel Clio. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment by managing the dishwashing process and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and rinses dirty dishware, loads it onto dishwashing machines, and unloads cleaned dishes
• Operates and maintains automatic dishwashing machines, loading and unloading dishes according to manufacturer's instructions
• Scrapes and cleans pots, pans, and kitchen equipment, and polishes silverware, stainless steel, and pewter
• Maintains dishroom cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and emptying trash
• Cleans kitchen floors, work surfaces, and equipment, and empties trash cans
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of dishwashing
• Ability to see, read meters and controls, bend, squat, crouch, crawl, reach, and retrieve items from above head
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs., including serving trays, carts, tables, chairs, and small equipment up to 75% of the time
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods, walk, and perform multiple tasks at one time
• Ability to communicate effectively and pay attention to sound and sight details in crowded and noisy situations
• Ability to handle china, glassware, and fragile equipment with care

Qualifications

• No formal education or training required
• No prior experience necessary
