Position Summary
The Senior MRI Technologist performs advanced MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and departmental compliance. They mentor staff, manage equipment, and support operational tasks, requiring strong technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex MRI scans for scheduled and emergency patients, maintaining safety and data integrity.
- Train and mentor staff, fellows, residents, and students in MRI techniques.
- Manage equipment, identify malfunctions, assist with inventory, and support quality assurance.
- Provide leadership support by overseeing clinical operations and promoting process improvements.
- Ensure a supportive environment for patients and families, explaining procedures clearly and responding empathetically.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's Degree in Allied Health; Bachelor's preferred.
- At least 3 years of MRI technologist experience.
- Preferred: ARRT MRI certification and current MA Radiologic Technologist license.
- BLS certification required.
