About the role
The Snow Sport School Lead assists the Snow Sport School Director & Assistant. Primary responsibility includes supervising instructors, classes, and private lessons, booking students, and participating in guest evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise instructors, classes, and private lessons
- Uphold guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions
- Participate in exit evaluations and rehire recommendations
- Clearly and accurately instruct assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally
- Communicate instructions and help guests to their feet during a lesson
- Work with guests of all ages and abilities
- Supervise children in class at all times; assist at lunch and snack times; ensure return of children to identified guardian
- Assist in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities
- Work with children ages 3+
- Perform other job duties as assigned
Requirements
- Pass pre-employment screening

- Software knowledge: Google suite
- Basic office equipment operation

- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Intermediate skiing/snowboarding ability

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous instructing experience
- Intermediate skiing/snowboarding ability
- Intermediate sight, speech, and hearing abilities

Physical and Mental Demands
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs and carry 50 yards
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment may occasionally be loud
