Full Time Seasonal Snow Sports School Lead

About the role

The Snow Sport School Lead assists the Snow Sport School Director & Assistant. Primary responsibility includes supervising instructors, classes, and private lessons, booking students, and participating in guest evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise instructors, classes, and private lessons
• Uphold guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions
• Participate in exit evaluations and rehire recommendations
• Clearly and accurately instruct assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally
• Communicate instructions and help guests to their feet during a lesson
• Work with guests of all ages and abilities
• Supervise children in class at all times; assist at lunch and snack times; ensure return of children to identified guardian
• Assist in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities
• Work with children ages 3+
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Previous instructing experience
• Intermediate skiing/snowboarding ability

Physical and Mental Demands

• Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs and carry 50 yards
• Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
• Noise level in the work environment may occasionally be loud
• Regularly work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibration
