Full Time School Security Officer – Loudoun County Public Schools

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government school location in Ashburn, VA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, conflicts, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school procedures, assisting with access control and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to school personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPR certification.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.

Pay

$18.87 per hour.

Schedule

• Full Time
• Day shift: Monday through Friday, 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
