Full Time School Nutrition Assistant

About the Role

This is a full-time position as a Flex Assistant in School Nutrition Services, responsible for preparing and serving meals while maintaining cafeteria cleanliness across school locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve various foods according to menus and recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, mixers, ovens, and slicers.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and HACCP logs in accordance with SOPs.
• Assist with inventory management, food ordering, and receiving supplies.
• Serve as cashier and support opening/closing operations; may fill in for management in their absence.
• Perform end-of-day procedures, complete records, and develop daily employee schedules.
• Travel between school locations as needed and assist with meal prep and other tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Knowledge of large-scale food preparation and equipment use.
• Effective teamwork skills.

Physical & Work Conditions

• Medium work involving lifting, standing, and reaching.
• Work environments may include heat, noise, and hazards.
