Job Summary

Aids Store Management with in-store supervision including directing personnel. Provides effective leadership to all associates. Exhibits the highest level of customer service in all areas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Greet and assist guests in selection and purchase of merchandise.
  • Solve guest issues effectively.
  • Inform supervisor of product, guest, and/or personnel issues.
  • Monitor and approve guest returns in accordance with retail policies.
  • Maintain guest service levels; provide feedback as needed.
  • Utilize GUESTS program during interactions with guests and when handling guest-owned jewelry.
  • Prepare and review supply orders from the JAC warehouse, place orders for other items through applicable purchasing channels.
  • Perform leadership duties for store opening and closing.
  • Lead and train associates in all areas of responsibility, emphasizing guest service and sales.
  • Coordinate regular and seasonal associate training sessions.
  • Delegate tasks to associates.
  • Assist in annual inventory process; ensure compliance with established processes and guidelines.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counting, adjustments, shipping, and receiving of merchandise, adhering to company procedures.
  • Notify appropriate retail and corporate entities about inventory issues.
  • Attend and assist in conducting regularly scheduled store meetings.
  • Implement plans to effectively participate in company special events and promotions.
  • Develop and conduct team-building activities.
  • Monitor product trends and communicate changes to District Manager.
  • Operate and train staff on all service equipment, including polish motor, handheld polisher, PUK weld equipment, pin finisher unit, ultra-sonic unit, small tools, and related chemicals to complete in-store services.
  • Ensure product care services meet/exceed operational standards.
  • Perform visual merchandising tasks, such as staging, setup, maintenance, and replacement of display items, using visual merchandising guidelines.
  • Support store management in maintaining company standards for overall store presentation.
  • Process employee purchases in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Ensure company security procedures are used to protect assets.
  • Review/develop employee schedules in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Approve store schedules ensuring they follow operational and budgetary guidelines and meet customer service levels; if necessary.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills; maintain a high degree of organizational skills.
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations; participate in all safety training; report all unsafe conditions to appropriate company personnel.
  • Comply with company policies including attendance guidelines, freedom from harassment, and electronic communication guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school degree or equivalent with a minimum 1-year retail or customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.

OTHER DUTIES:

  • Take on lead role in absence of other leadership team members.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the team, both departmental and cross-functional, to foster positive working relationships and establish trust and credibility within the organization.
  • Assist in other areas as assigned by supervisor.
