About the role
The District Sales Manager is responsible for selling building components and pre-engineered wood structures across assigned territories, primarily in the Greater St. Louis area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face sales with contractors, homebuilders, commercial and multifamily builders, and project investors.
- Prepare and present bids, proposals, and estimates.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, including prospecting and nurturing existing accounts.
- Analyze territory opportunities, monitor competition, and execute marketing strategies.
- Document activities and leads in CRM system.
- Address customer concerns with integrity and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales or customer service.
- Minimum of 2 years in construction contracting and 5 years in direct sales.
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry, building drawings, and codes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic carpentry knowledge.
- Able to travel locally, work in varied environments, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
