About the Role

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you combine top-notch customer service skills with genuine care for people to help customers feel comfortable while shopping. This role is ideal for those who want to engage with customers and assist them in solving their home improvement challenges.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers to Lowe's, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
• Down stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
• Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
• Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service.
• Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
• Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
• Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.

Qualifications

• 6 months of Retail and/or customer service experience (preferred).
• Bi-lingual skills (preferred).
• Certification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials) (preferred).

Working Conditions

Environmental factors vary by location. You may work both inside and outside, exposed to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions. You may also be exposed to constant or intermittent noises and moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary, with single lifts limited to 75 pounds and team lifts used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment is used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
