About the Role

Provides direct and indirect patient care in various healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, compassion, and respect to deliver high-quality care, prioritize needs, and educate patients and families. Maintains patient autonomy, dignity, and rights while restoring health whenever possible.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients accurately based on their medical condition.
  • Administer prescribed medications and perform treatments appropriate to patient age and condition.
  • Develop and evaluate patient education plans, involving families as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and utilize technical skills effectively.
  • Address psychosocial needs of patients and families, coordinating with social services for discharge planning.
  • Practice cost-effective use of supplies and ensure patient safety by minimizing risks.
  • Prioritize and manage patient care efficiently, demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Computer literacy required.
  • RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS/PALS certifications.
