About the Role

The RN Clinical Charge Nurse oversees daily unit operations, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care through effective leadership and clinical expertise. This role involves making patient assignments, managing staffing, coordinating patient flow, and participating in care planning and protocol development.

Responsibilities

• Make patient assignments and manage staffing levels.
• Coordinate patient flow and facilitate interdisciplinary communication.
• Round on patients and evaluate care quality to promote safety and satisfaction.
• Manage resources and coordinate emergency responses.
• Support performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Participate in the development of care protocols and system policies.
• Act as a role model, mentor, and resource for staff to foster professional growth.
• Ensure adherence to professional nursing standards and ethics.
