Responsibilities
- Manages daily operations of medical programs or units
- Coordinates with healthcare teams
- Follows policies and safety standards
- Participates in health promotion activities
- Explains procedures to patients
- Orders and interprets tests
- Maintains accurate documentation
- Supports call coverage
- Focuses on patient satisfaction and team collaboration
Qualifications
- MD/DO degree with no prior work experience required
- Valid medical licenses (e.g., Tennessee State Board)
- Certifications such as AOA Board Certification
- Preferred additional licenses or certifications are advantageous
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of medical standards, legal and ethical practices
- Familiarity with community healthcare resources and current treatment procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Commitment to maintaining safety standards
- Accurately assess patient conditions
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Ability to perform essential activities including standing, walking, reaching, and handling hazardous materials
- Good visual acuity
- Quick reaction to emergencies
