Full-Time Registered Nurse CVOR

About the role

This position involves providing specialized nursing support in the cardiovascular operating room, including performing scrub functions, managing patient care during complex procedures, assisting physicians and anesthesia teams, and preparing the OR environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical scrub functions, handling instruments and supplies during cardiovascular surgeries.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions throughout procedures.
• Assist with intubation, line access, and maintenance.
• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment for surgery.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing.
• Certification in Advanced Life Support (within 6 months) and BLS (within 1 month).

Skills

• Preferred: At least 2 years of recent CV OR experience, strong knowledge of perioperative standards, sterile technique, and patient safety.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
