Full-Time Preschool Assistant Float

Position Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers. This position does require reliable transportation as the position requires working in classrooms throughout the district.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation
• Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent preferred
• Has a passion for working with young children
• Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds
• Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model is beneficial
• Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
• The physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
• Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
