About the role

Mennowood Retirement Community in Newport News, VA, invites you to join our dynamic therapy team as a Full-time Physical Therapist. The position offers a $7,500 Sign-on Bonus!

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents based on their physical condition and needs.
• Perform therapeutic exercises and treatments to promote mobility, strength, and overall health.
• Evaluate residents’ progress regularly and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans for residents.
• Provide education to residents and their families on maintaining good physical health.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss resident care plans and strategies.

Requirements

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Passing scores on the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).
• Experience with various physical therapy modalities and techniques.
• Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

Skills

• Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

• $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
