Full-Time Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the role

The physical therapist assesses, plans, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are delivered across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, adhering to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient input, provides education, and offers discharge instructions and referrals.
• Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, and develop realistic discharge plans involving patients and families.
• Records evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information per departmental protocols.
• Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication; participates in meetings and process improvements.
• Demonstrates respect, fosters teamwork, applies service principles, and ensures a positive environment for patients and colleagues.
• Completes mandatory training, maintains licensure, participates in orientation, and adheres to organizational policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses: Physical Therapist license and BLS certification.
