Full-Time Physical Therapist - Acute Care

About the role

The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities in patients with injuries or diseases.

Responsibilities

• Develops and revises treatment plans collaboratively with patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions.
• Collaborates with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment goals and discharge plans.
• Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and patient education according to departmental protocols.
• Acts as a referral source for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, maintains patient confidentiality, and adheres to safety protocols.
• Participates in professional development, mandatory training, and team meetings to support continual growth.
• Provides excellent customer service, demonstrating professionalism and teamwork, while fostering a positive environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Licenses: Physical Therapist license and BLS certification.
• Effective communication, customer service orientation, team collaboration, and basic computer skills.
