Full-time Personal Chef - Paterson, NJ

About the role

This full-time personal chef position runs Monday through Friday, 8 am–6 pm, giving you evenings and weekends free. You’ll work as a personal chef for 8–9 clients per week, handling weekly grocery shopping, meal planning, cooking, and kitchen clean-up. The role also includes hosting intimate private dining events and dinner parties, teaching cooking classes, leading corporate team-building workshops, and supporting special projects such as menu design and event catering.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of line experience
• Sense of urgency, strong people skills, and attention to detail
• ServSafe Manager certification and state-specific Allergen certification
• Reliable vehicle
• Minimum of two years of culinary experience
• 2–4 years of cooking experience
• Previous experience/familiarity with computer/email/Google Workspaces/social media is preferred

Pay

$27 – $30 per hour

Opportunity for a well-deserved raise at the 1-year mark, contingent upon favorable performance evaluations.
