Full-Time Patient Care Technician - Progressive Care Unit

About the role

This role provides direct patient care to support licensed nurses, ensuring a safe and healing environment in a 40-bed Progressive Care Unit focused on cardiac and pulmonary patients. There are opportunities for growth and development within a high-performing hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake & output
• Prevent pressure ulcers and report changes in patient condition to nurses
• Help with patient and family education
• Document care activities accurately
• Act as a 1:1 safety sitter when needed
• Ensure supplies and equipment are available
• Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities
• Engage in professional development

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician
• License or certification as a CNA preferred
