Responsibilities
- Assess emergency situations and determine appropriate action following protocols.
- Utilize medical equipment such as defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen, suction devices, and IV therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to provide reassurance and information.
- Act as team leader at emergency scenes when needed and manage unit operations.
- Drive ambulances during emergency responses.
- Collaborate professionally with healthcare and public safety personnel.
- Participate in community outreach to enhance community relations.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- State Paramedic License and Driver’s License
- BLS, ACLS, and NREMT-Paramedic certifications
- Valid driving record and physical agility
- Healthcare experience preferred
