Full-time Package Handler

Job Summary

The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. Hours and wages are Monday-Friday, 2:00PM-10:30PM, with 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week. Pay is $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
• Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
• Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
• Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
• Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
• Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Able to read labels at a fast pace and work independently

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
• Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
