Job Summary
The Full-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. Hours and Wages: Monday-Friday, 10:00PM Start. 10-15 hours of overtime expected each week. Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week. $18.00-$20.00 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differential.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
- Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
- Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
- Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
- Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed
- Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Able to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
Education And Experience
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
- Work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
