Full Time Overnight Grocery

Cub Rochester East on 15th Ave. is looking for a dedicated individual to fill a full-time grocery stock position.

About the role

Grocery stockers at Cub follow stocking procedures that include load cutting and sorting, display building, and ensuring product availability. Product rotation is critical to ensure freshness and minimize waste. This role requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills to contribute to an efficient and enjoyable shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes assignments in allotted time
• Handles product carefully to avoid damage
• Uses proper case cutting technique
• Ensures correct placement of stock
• Rotates and faces product
• Performs clean-up of sales floor and back room
• Assists with customer questions or requests

Requirements

• Equipment operation (scanner, register, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.)
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
• Ability to write identifying information and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions

Schedule

Varied weekly overnight shifts. Open availability required for full-time consideration.

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying within a specified pay range for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors including education, experience, training, and requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
