Full-Time Nursing Director

About the role

The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees daily operations of the nursing department, leading the team and collaborating with other departments to meet regulatory, policy, and mission standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensures high-quality nursing care across all campus levels
• Oversees staffing, training, and supervision to provide 24-hour resident care
• Develops, updates, and enforces policies and procedures aligned with regulations and best practices
• Works closely with healthcare professionals, residents, families, and responsible parties to address needs and enhance resident satisfaction
• Leads assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes to meet residents' medical, psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
• Manages the nursing department budget and leads quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Counsels staff, fostering a positive staffing experience and professional growth

Qualifications

• A valid MI RN license
• A graduate of an approved nursing program
• At least five years of leadership experience preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills
• A passion for serving others
