About the role
The Aspire Advanced Practice Provider is a vital member of our clinical team in our mission to cure patients suffering from allergies and sinus problems. They will deliver a memorable experience for our patients, ensuring patient comfort and satisfaction are top of mind.
Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive patient assessments and gather medical histories focusing on allergy and sinus conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic and sinus conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis, nasal polyps, and asthma.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including allergy testing, sinus CT scans, and pulmonary function tests.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medications, immunotherapy, and procedural recommendations.
- Perform and assist with in-office procedures such as allergy immunotherapy (SCIT and SLIT), nasal endoscopy, and provide pre-op and post-op evaluations and treatments after various sinus procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 24 hours of their visit.
- Oversee and manage both food and environmental allergy testing for patients using percutaneous and intracutaneous allergy testing methods.
- Provide pre-op and post-op evaluations and treatments after a variety of surgeon-performed sinus procedures.
- Develop relationships with referring medical providers and the local medical community.
- Attend lunches and events with the assigned territory provider relationship representative to help build credibility and market Aspire.
- Adhere to standard metrics: Testing: 50% minimum threshold, Treatment: 30% minimum threshold, IOP Conversion: 7% minimum threshold.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 3+ Years of Practicing as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner
- Graduate from an approved Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
- Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Valid Driver's License
