This role is with Atlantic Coast Gastroenterology in Brick, NJ, a practice partnering with Allied Digestive Health.

About the Role

The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This position complies with standards of care, including assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of a plan of care and treatment, implementation of the treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The practice is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.

Responsibilities

  • Assess health status and diagnose patient conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Evaluate patient status and adjust clinical management as needed.
  • Collaborate with other health care team members.
  • Perform inpatient and outpatient duties.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with at least 2 years of experience.
  • Current NJ licensure in good standing.
  • Current DEA and CDS certificate.
  • Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Eligibility for hospital privileges.

Skills

  • Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information for gastroenterology patients.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary patient service and courteousness.
  • Ability to multitask, work accurately, and remain efficient under pressure.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office.
