Northshore Gastroenterology, partnering with Allied Digestive Health, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an outpatient role.
About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This includes assessment of health status, diagnosis, development and implementation of treatment plans, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management, all conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status and diagnose conditions.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
- Provide clinical management in collaboration with the health care team.
- Comply with all standards of care and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
- At least 2 years of experience in Gastroenterology.
- Current NY licensure in good standing.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Eligibility for hospital privileges.

- Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office.
