About the role

Center for Digestive Diseases, partnering with Allied Digestive Health, is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team. This is a hospital-based role with some outpatient responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage health problems and coordinate health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations.
  • Comply with standards of care, including assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of plan of care and treatment, implementation of treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management.
  • Conduct practice in collaboration with other health care team members.
  • Examine and treat gastroenterology patients using pertinent medical and drug information.
  • Maintain current provider cards in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • Obtain or maintain hospital privileges.
  • Demonstrate exemplary patient service, courtesy, and respect.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards at all times.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of hospital-based Nurse Practitioner experience (gastroenterology experience preferred).
  • Current New Jersey NP license, DEA, and CDS in good standing.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask with sharp attention to detail and perform duties accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office.
  • Ability to remain cordial and patient under stressful situations.
