Red Bank Gastroenterology, partnering with Allied Digestive Health, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an outpatient role.
About the Role
The Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for patients in accordance with State and Federal rules and regulations. This includes assessment of health status, diagnosis, development of a plan of care and treatment, implementation of the treatment plan, and evaluation of patient status and clinical management. The role is conducted in collaboration with other health care team members.
Responsibilities
- Assess health status and diagnose patient conditions.
- Develop and implement treatment plans.
- Evaluate patient status and adjust clinical management as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members.
- Comply with HIPAA and OSHA laws and safeguards.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with at least 5 years of experience in either GI or Primary Care.
- Current NJ licensure in good standing.
- Current DEA and CDS certificate.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Eligibility for hospital privileges.
Skills
- Knowledge of pertinent medical and drug information for treating gastroenterology patients.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Exemplary patient service and ability to remain courteous and patient under stress.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and MS Office.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask with sharp attention to detail.
