Full-Time Nocturnist

About the role

A nocturnist providing comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions, consultations, and medical emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with medical records and billing standards.
• Support training and development of residents and medical students.

Requirements

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Active Texas Medical License or eligibility.
• Prior hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing learning.
