About the Role

An active Bellevue family is seeking a dependable and engaging nanny for their 11-year-old son, who will be entering 5th grade this fall. The position is expected to begin in September 2026 and continue through June 2027. Afternoons will include household support, transportation to activities, homework assistance, and helping the child prepare for the next day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide light household support before the child arrives home from school, including tidying and folding laundry
  • Greet the child after school at approximately 2:40 PM and help with the afternoon transition
  • Drive the child to sports, SSAT courses, and scheduled activities using the family's shared calendar
  • Help ensure homework and SSAT-related assignments are completed, with particular guidance in vocabulary and math
  • Prepare simple snacks and meals such as sandwiches
  • Help the child get organized and ready for the following day
  • Walk the family dog (a Corgi named Lucki)
  • Communicate regularly with Dad about the day, promptly sharing any incidents or concerns

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on nannying experience with school-aged children
  • Ability to assist with homework and SSAT-related assignments
  • Strong vocabulary and math skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Safe and reliable driver with a dependable personal vehicle for transporting the child to activities
  • Comfortable preparing simple snacks and meals
  • Comfortable with dogs and willing to walk the family's Corgi
  • Able to provide consistent daily communication with Dad
  • Glowing references from recent nanny positions

Qualifications

  • Confident, communicative caregiver who enjoys working with school-aged children
  • Able to serve as both a nanny and positive role model
  • Demonstrates leadership while having patience to build a comfortable relationship with a child who may initially be reserved
  • Can spend meaningful one-on-one time with the child while providing consistency, guidance, and strong communication

Schedule

Monday–Saturday, approximately 12:00 pm – 7:00/8:00 pm

Pay

$41-47/hour
