About the role
Kwik Trip, Inc. is hiring Full Time Material Handlers for their newly opened DeForest Distribution Center.
Responsibilities
- Pull orders in the freezer zone or dry side of the distribution center
- Use a Power Pallet Jack or Reach Lift
- Work 4, 10-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM, including weekends, holidays, and possible overtime
- Receive a $5/hour premium for working weekends (7:30 PM Friday through 6:59 AM Monday)
- Receive a $1/hour premium while working in the freezer
Qualifications
- Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks
- Work well alone and with others
- Basic math aptitude
- Read, understand, and interpret numbers
- Accurate / detail oriented
- Work in a fast-paced environment
- Work in a safety-conscious environment
- Adhere to sanitation / hygiene standards
- Prior order selection, Power Pallet Jack, and Reach Lift experience is a plus
Physical qualifications
- Lift/carry repeatedly up to 60 pounds to 60 inches, 40 pounds to 72 inches, and 20 pounds to 82”;
- Push/pull 60 pounds of force;
- Bend, twist, reach, stoop frequently;
- Work in -20 – 90+ degree F temperatures.
