Full Time Maintenance Technician - JFK Airport

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance, in-fleeting service, and buy back/turn back service according to company policy and procedures. This position requires routine judgment and initiative, with a focus on customer needs and quality standards.

This role is located at our JFK Service Center: 308 Federal Circle, Bldg 308, Jamaica, NY 11430.

Pay

The starting rate of pay is $24.00 per hour with an additional health care supplement of up to $5.55 per hour. The health care supplement may be adjusted after the first 90 days based on benefits selected. Additional bonuses and compensation for ASE certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, X1, G1) may also be available. Employees have the opportunity to earn increases in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA).

Responsibilities

• Ensure all repairs and preventative maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and guidelines.
• Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Perform in-fleet servicing on new cars according to company procedures as required.
• Perform buy back/turn back servicing according to company procedures as required.
• Perform vehicle servicing and repairing to maintain company standards; maintain Out-Of-Service at or below 2%.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience handling mechanical service procedures.
• Requires ownership of standard hand tools to perform basic maintenance and repair responsibilities.
• The ability to operate a motor vehicle is essential; applicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
• Must be willing to accept $24.00 per hour.
• Must live within a 1-hour commute of this location or be relocating to this area within the next 30 days.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Must have the flexibility to work any shift, any day, including nights and weekends.
