Responsibilities
- Implement productivity, quality and customer service standards.
- Avoid legal challenges by enforcing alcohol regulations of the alcoholic beverage commission.
- Ensure the smooth flow of the scheduled shift.
- Work with and supervise FOH and BOH employees while maintaining required standards of the restaurant.
- Schedule hourly employees.
- Order and receive food and beverage deliveries.
- Open and close the restaurant.
- Watch and work within the restaurant budget.
- Evaluate and control food and beverage costs by reviewing portion control and quantities of preparation, minimizing waste.
Requirements
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Must be 21 years of age and able to read, write and speak the primary language of the work site.
- Must have a degree in hospitality management or five years on the job experience.
- Must be able to work in excess of 8 hours a day or 50 hours a week.
- Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds of weight.
