Full-time Leasing Consultant offering Discounted Rent

The Leasing Consultant plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community, and in creating a place where residents are proud to call home by providing exceptional service to applicants and residents.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities
- Address the concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Market and advertise the community using various media and promotional materials
- Present the community and its amenities positively to prospects, assisting them to envision the community as their future home while ascertaining their needs and qualifications
- Tour and lease units as necessary, accompanying prospects to model or available units and discussing size and layout of rooms, available facilities, location of area amenities, services available, and terms of lease
- Enter prospect and applicant information into property management software
- Negotiate lease terms and conditions, and close deals
- Aid residents and applicants with their application or lease renewal paperwork, confirming rental application data and personal references
- Ensure timely follow-up with all residents and prospects (with thank you notes, phone calls, etc.)
- Track, schedule, and communicate move-ins and move-outs
- Maintain up-to-date resident files on every unit
- Stay knowledgeable of the property market status and assist in preparing market surveys
- Prepare and distribute notices, newsletters, or important event information
- Aid the Property Manager as needed by providing administrative and requested assistance
- Refer applicants to other communities managed by The Goodman Group, as appropriate
- Interact positively with residents to maintain high levels of resident satisfaction
- Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity as a representative of the community
- Contribute to the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community
- Comply with all industry Fair Housing rules and regulations
- Operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
- Able to understand and communicate written and verbal directions
- Regular attendance, reliability, and punctuality necessary to meet the needs of applicants, new and current residents, guests, and outside vendors during regularly scheduled hours
- Able to work nights and weekends, upon request
- Available on the last and first day of the month for shifts
- Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills
- Well organized with excellent attention to detail
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Tools
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of one year of sales or related experience
Physical Demands
- Sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, crawl, lift, push, or pull objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Walk, stand, use hands, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms
- Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Read, write, and communicate with internal and external customers
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions
- May work more than 40 hours per week, and on any day, including weekends and holidays as necessary
- Works in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including inclement weather
- Noise level of the environment is usually moderate
- Subject to callback during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
