Full-Time Kitchen Prep-Loverboy

About the Role

Loverboy, a new restaurant concept from the team behind Box St. All Day and No Risk No Magic Hospitality Group, is set to open at Pearl on November 2, 2026. We are looking for a team player to join our kitchen staff. You’ll help prepare the kitchen by chopping vegetables, making salads, and assembling entrees, while also assisting with tasks like storing leftover food, washing dishes, and cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Follow the daily prep list to prepare items needed for the shift and beyond.
• Label, date, and stock items, ensuring all ingredients are organized and easily accessible in the walk-in cooler.
• Accurately measure all ingredients according to specifications.
• Wash, chop, and sort ingredients like fruits, vegetables, and meats.
• Prepare all salads, guacamole, and various menu items per recipes and specifications.
• Perform basic cooking tasks such as parboiling food, reducing sauces, and preparing simple dishes like salads.
• Set up the salad prep cooler and salad station with proper inserts using fresh products needed for shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness by keeping kitchen areas, utensils, and items clean and sanitized.
• Maintain a sanitizer bucket at the station for each shift.
• Assist other cooks with tasks needed to open stations properly.
• Set up and season the tortilla griddle with oil, and prep corn and flour tortillas as needed.
• Assist all cooks and expeditors with kitchen clean-up.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in a high-volume establishment is required.
• Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required.
• Must be well-groomed and professionally dressed, following uniform standards.
• Must have attention to detail and a passion for serving Guests.
• Positive and professional attitude in every aspect of the position.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
