Full-Time Kindergarten Aide

About the Role

St. Thomas Aquinas is seeking a Kindergarten Aide for the 2026-2027 school year. The aide will work under the guidance of lead classroom teacher(s) and assist in classroom instruction, discipline, and other teaching and learning activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher in all requested duties related to classroom instruction, classroom preparation, student safety, and hygienic needs
• Support during lunch, recess, and behavior management
• Maintain sensitive, confidential information
• Work collaboratively in a Catholic education and urban environment
• Participate in relevant professional development
• Demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and a strong work ethic
• Substitute teach in classes spanning from Kindergarten to 8th grade, as necessary

A positive, high-energy attitude, a drive for personal excellence, the ability to problem-solve, and a sense of humor are preferred.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• Experience working in a school setting (preferred)
