Full-Time Infant Nanny Job in Seattle, WA | Long-Term Position with a Local Family
Location: Seattle, WA
About Us
We are a warm and calm Seattle family looking for a loving nanny to care for our baby girl, who will be about 3-months-old when care begins. We value open, thoughtful communication and want to build a relationship where our nanny feels comfortable discussing different ideas and approaches to raising our child. Mom will often be at home and nursing throughout the day, but generally plans to give the nanny space and may be fairly quiet while going about her day.
Before welcoming our daughter, we loved skiing, visiting parks, taking walks, and spending time outdoors with our dog, and we hope our little one will enjoy plenty of outdoor time as she grows. Our home is in a very walkable neighborhood with a children's park about five minutes away, a small backyard, and plenty of opportunities to get outside.
About You
You are a gentle, experienced, and proactive nanny who genuinely enjoys caring for infants and understands the rhythms of a young baby's day. Strong communication is especially important to us, and we're looking for someone who is comfortable taking initiative while also collaborating openly with parents. You are attentive and engaged, creating plenty of screen-free interaction, play, and developmentally appropriate stimulation while following baby's cues. Because our home has two stories and a steep staircase, you should also be comfortable safely caring for and carrying an infant between floors throughout the day. Additional language skills, particularly Mandarin, French, or German, would be a wonderful bonus.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, hands-on care for our infant throughout the day, following an age-appropriate feed, play, and sleep rhythm.
- Engage baby through play, interaction, walks around the neighborhood, and other screen-free, developmentally appropriate activities during alert periods.
- Collaborate with parents around feedings and help with simple meal preparation as needed.
- Assist with light household tasks such as folding or transferring laundry, tidying rooms, and taking out the garbage during baby’s naps.
- Occasionally assist with small tasks for our friendly, medium-sized Labradoodle (e.g., filling an empty water bowl).

- Up-to-date baby-related vaccinations, including flu and Tdap, before starting.
- Comfortable working in a home with a friendly, medium-sized dog.
- Able to collaborate with parents around feeding and infant care.

Preferred Qualifications
- Fluency or conversational ability in Mandarin, French, or German.
- A love of walks, parks, and getting outdoors with children.
