Full Time Hospice CNA

About the Role

Provides direct patient care under the direction of an RN, including assisting with transfers, ambulation, and daily living activities. Ensures continuity of care through accurate documentation and maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to the patient under the direction of the RN and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
• Assist the patient with safe transfers and ambulation per Hospice policy.
• Report changes and document pertinent information and care rendered to ensure continuity of care.
• Practice accepted infection control principles.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
• Promote positive, supportive, respectful communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Respect patient privacy and property.
• Assist the patient with proper nutrition and adequate fluid intake.
• Contribute to the management and efficient operation of the Hospice and demonstrate effective time management.
• Perform treatments and procedures according to Hospice policy.
• Promote the Hospice philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Texas.
• Experience in hospice or senior care preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A kind and patient demeanor with a commitment to providing dignified care.

Pay

$24‑$26 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time, on‑site position in Cypress, Texas.
