About the Role

Visiting Angels of Sacramento is hiring a Full Time Home Care Aide - HCA to support our clients in Sacramento, Davis, Elk Grove, Laguna, Lemon Hill, La Riviera, Rosemont, and other areas. The role involves helping clients with personal care, managing housekeeping, encouraging exercise, reminding about medication, assisting with shopping and meal preparation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping tasks
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients
• Aiding clients with mobility and ambulation
• Reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances during medical emergencies

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old and able to work legally in the US
• Must be fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 with a valid record
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess a valid drivers license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have excellent time management skills and be able to juggle multiple duties
• Must have reliable transportation to get to and from client homes
• Must feel confident in physical endurance and be able to perform housekeeping and cooking duties
• Must be willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards
• Must be able to use a smartphone for electronic visit verification (EVV) and caregiver notes
• Must be able to pass extensive background checks, including Live Scan fingerprinting
• Must have a negative TB screening within the last 90 days
• Must be registered on the California Home Care Aide Registry

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on availability and experience
