Responsibilities
The Guest Service Representative/Night Auditor will be responsible for:
- Greeting guests as they arrive and focusing on personal recognition
- Reviewing arrival lists daily and assisting in preparing and assembling welcome amenities
- Escorting VIPs to their room and checking them in prior to arrival
- Answering the telephone within three rings with a smile and answering questions or transferring as needed
- Managing the issued bank, counting it at the beginning and end of the shift, and ensuring proper cash handling procedures
- Keeping the front desk area clean and organized
- Assisting with lobby activation as needed
- Utilizing proper procedures when handling guest PPI data
- Following checklists when going through check-in or check-out with guests
- Retrieving necessary identification documents and forms of payment upon arrival
- Attending promptly to guest needs and inquiries
- Cross-training as a fill-in Night Auditor when coverage is needed, working overnight from 11pm-7am
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of one year of experience in front desk operations
- In-depth knowledge of hotel front desk operations
- Minimum of a high school education
Skills
The Guest Service Representative/Night Auditor should possess:
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time management skills
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $16.50 per hour.
