Full-Time Grounds Maintenance Supervisor - Sawmill Creek Resort

Responsibilities

• Leads a small group of Maintenance Attendants during shift.
• Moves and arranges furniture.
• Performs set-up for special events.
• Performs routine troubleshooting for in-room issues.
• Works with chemicals in accordance with all safety guidelines listed on the safety data sheets (SDS).
• Uses cleaning equipment in accordance with the departmental safety guidelines.
• Utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• Cleans and maintains all exterior areas of the hotel, including parking lots, pools, entry ways, etc.
• Responsible for completing minimal maintenance issues and responding to the requests of team leaders.
• Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

Qualifications

• Able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
• Able to work independently
• Able to use various equipment such as power washers, leaf blowers, etc.
• Able to lift, push, pull and carry over 50lbs.
• Able to remain calm during emotionally charged situations
• Able to train and lead small crew of associates
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs
• Able to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law
• Able to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law
