Full Time General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Albuquerque, New Mexico
About the Role
Join a surgical team of 6 physicians and 2 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at Lovelace Medical Group Independence Square. This position offers a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with a daily patient average of 18-24 on clinic days. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, utilizing Epic EMR with the Ambience AI tool.
Responsibilities
- Manage pre- and post-operative patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Demonstrate strong clinical judgment and organizational skills
- Prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced surgical environment
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
- Ability to obtain DEA registration and New Mexico Board of Pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in medical weight management is strongly preferred
